…was the phrase uttered by our oldest son Aidan as he held his foam sword up to Iona’s bear. A giggle and a stern talking to later and bear was returned.

We feel a little like Iona right now. We’re on the verge of starting our next adoption; this time it’s from China and we’re going to adopt an older child. Unsure of what exactly to expect, we are confident in God’s protection of us and that nothing takes him off guard.

If you’re here, you’re at the right place to find out more info about what’s going on with the adoption, what’s going on with our family and random quirky things that get yelled at our house from time to time.

A bit starts tomorrow. Melissa has been hard at work with getting our big garage sale for raising funds for adoption going and we’ve got a very large garage full of stuff to sell. Dear friends have been more than generous and we’ve got a bit to sell thanks to them, including some very definitive garage sale type stuff like a star trek phone, a barber’s chair and a hockey stick :) . Which reminds me, we have a photo stream from flickr up that we’ll be updating pretty regularly.

So, hope you stick around as we start this next chapter. :)
