Melissa’s Bio
Melissa Juvinall is a part-time freelance editor and proofreader. She is a member of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network. She has worked in editing and writing since 1997. Melissa has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in English with a specialization in children’s literature.
Before she began freelance work, she edited for a fiction publisher and wrote and edited for various businesses, including a large insurance company and a small ministry office. Melissa is also a former campus staff worker with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Melissa has been a born-again Christian since Fall of 1991.
Melissa has recently been editing for a few businesses and judging for the Christy Awards. She edits nonfiction, fiction, and children’s books.
Melissa lives in Normal, IL with her husband, Pete, and is a stay-at-home mom to Aidan and Iona. She has a ton of fun homeschooling Aidan, which she began in 2009. Iona joined the family in 2008 from Ethiopia, and she has added to the love and laughter around the house.
