This is web week for me.  I’m working through about 5 major projects both personal and work related that have to be done fairly shortly.  Hence, it’s been a little quiet around here.  I thought I may wrap up several different things that are going around in my head lately.

Treating customers right has direct consequences.  You all probably know the saga of my XServe RAID purchase at work a couple of months ago.  I’ve been appreciating the consequences of Apple being willing to deal and get us their gear a bit cheaper.  Several other departments have mentioned their interest in getting a storage solution (read: cheap SAN) and I mentioned the postive experience we got through apple and the staggering setup they gave us cheaply.  Customer service does have an impact…

WordPress rocks my face.  I got permission to use a theme from Andrew Buckman for bearla.com’s main site; MJ’s editing services.  It’s a beautiful theme and it’s getting me a chance to start to work on sharpening my php skills as I tweak the theme for use at bearla.  There are a couple of projects coming shortly that I really will get a chance to be creative on.

The CD I’m most looking forward to this summer is by far, OutKast’s new one.  They’re doing a soundtrack for a depression era movie coming out this summer.  The music, as always, is original.  The group is mixing 30′s era blues and big band and mixing it with hip hop.  It should be good; expect a review when it comes out.

Favorite Aidan moment of the week: I walked in his room this morning when he called out to us and he reached out his hand and said ‘Hold my hand daddy.  Hold my hand.’  Definately a moment that it’s great to be a dad.
