MJ, A-man and I went to a wedding this weekend for some newer friends of ours who are a really fun couple.  The groom fronts a local band in town and is really talented.  Well, in addition to attending I did sound for the wedding as well; it was just a pleasure to do.  Of interest, my dear friend Tyler played guitar with his new Takamime guitar that had a really advanced pickup in it that made it a joy to eq (and I’m not being sarcastic).  The soloist sang two songs and did them exceptionally well:  ‘A living prayer’ by Alison Krauss and Union Station, and ‘Have you seen my love?’ by a new singer to me named Rosie Thomas.

There are moments that I stand with Eric Liddel when he made the comment ‘When I run, I feel God’s pleasure’.  There are sound moments that just all is right with the world and doing sound is a pleasure that is just unmatched.  This was one of those times…
