Seasonal Hug.

0

I just got back from a wonderful ‘summer’ lunch (academically speaking) and met MJ and Aidan at COSI. I have to admit, if there’s one thing I absolutely adore, it’s hot weather. The current temperature here inĀ  Normal is in the upper 80′s and it’s just so nice outside. Walking through downtown Normal, people were out on the sidewalks in front of the restaurants eating their lunches, kids were playing, music was playing in the record stores and I couldn’t help but thinking of late spring as sort of a divine hug. God bends down and wraps his arm around us and just gives us a hug.
All this makes me want to go in though and work on my fluorescent tan (not!).

More on this crane…

We’ve been having some different crews in this week doing various things around the building. Some are moving stuff, and we also have this crane in the middle of our atrium this week. the interesting thing about the crane is that it has a 90 foot reach (it can get all the way up to the top of our building, but the thing folds up into a neat little 36 inch doorway. Anyway, it was terribly interesting to watch as they rolled this in and in transformer-like fasion expanded it out and got to work.

Memorial Day fun

Aidan was feeling quite like posing for this shot.

Also in this gallery was some fun with Kindermusic; guess what they’re all looking for – balls. Yes, she’s got a bag full of balls and handing them out. Balls = crack for 3 year olds.

A really great shot of MJ reading while Aidan played around in the park.

In between cooking out, ice cream, and generally playing, it was a really great weekend. The full gallery is here on facebook.

A new captcha

Yeah! A new captcha is installed; this one requires two words. I’ve just been having a ton of problems with spam lately on the blog, so I thought I might change some things up a bit. Thanks for your patience as I changes things up :) .

CFW Photos

Yeah, I took a lot of shots.

But the thing is, I’ve really felt like photography has been a relaxing, creative outlet that strangely is mixed with work and I wanted to bring up the camera for similar reasoning that someone might bring up a guitar; it just would be fun to work with and allowed me to worship a bit by being creative.

Anyway, now I’m sharing with y’all. Enjoy. And for you folks that have made Cedar Campus a destination, feel free to share cool stories.
