Definitions:

“Dad. Sandman has a Jury Pounder.”
“A What?”
“A Jury Pounder. It’s what they use in Juries.”
“A gavel?”
“Yeah, a Jury Pounder.”

After picking a ‘Grandpa’ prize:

“Dad I really wanted that white light saber. It freaked me out”

After taking a bath:

Melissa: Pretty soon I won’t be able to give you baths anymore because you’ll be able to do it all by yourself!!

Aidan: How awesome is that!!

It’s getting to be that time again…

In the ‘For what it’s worth’ department

In college, I got into the habit of soundtracking a semester and noting songs that were signifigant to me during that period. Even though I’m a fan of music in general, the early to mid nineties still remain my favorite time period and it was during this time in college that albums like ‘Ten’, ‘Vs.’, and ‘Vitology’ by Pearl Jam and ‘Achtung Baby’ and ‘Zooropa’ by U2 came out and they got added to my mixes during those times.

We’re in a new season in our house and now that the new is beginning to wear off being a family of four, I wanted to get a soundtrack out for these past four months. There are alot more songs I’d like to put on here (e.g. Lizz Wright) but these hit some of the major highlights of our pursuit of Iona and the feel of these past few months. Hope you enjoy.

Check out some new photos from the Juvinall house. The days are getting a little longer now, the sun is out and kids are beginning to shake off their winter sickness. Click the photo to see the full gallery, but check out a few photos of us emerging from our winter hibernation.

We’ve gotten a few chances to get out and play in the driveway and do some chalking. Hope you enjoy!

Here’s one of my favorite shots of Aidan

The kids got a chance to get outside. Aidan introduced Iona to his favorite color :)

One of my favorite movie speeches of all time (from ‘Scent of a woman’)
