Brendan’s Story
Stories from our slow plane to China to get our son.
It’s on…
1So, with that, we are off tomorrow morning. We’re planning on showing up at the Bloomington Airport at 11 a.m. with a departure an hour or so later and then an 8 hour wait at DTW before we set off for the night.
It’s been wonderful to see a number of things we’ve talked about over the past few months come to fruition. We’d chatted with dear friends about prayer tonight and got to hang out and pray for our time over the next couple of weeks. We’re officially packed and we’ve even started working on basic phrases for dear Brendan once we see him (thanks Mary!).
Our Skype works like a charm and even got to exchange some love with Aidan and Iona tonight as well. Though, it is weird as we’ve finished packing that we’ve not had to be mindful of loud noises to wake up the kids. It’s also weird not having the TMNT soundtrack, Kindermusic, or Adventures in Odyssey playing while we sit down for the night; I’m not sure if we can sleep easily
.
So, we are still going to try and enjoy these final few nights before Brendan steps onto the stage. We’ll be traveling tomorrow and thinking of Aidan, Brendan and Iona and you. We hope you’ll be praying for us.
